The Montclair Food & Wine Festival hosted their private event here at The Wellmont and it was the cat’s pajamas! 1920’s Speakeasy was the theme and the theater was transformed with twinkling lights and feather boas and filled with flappers and gangsters. Tables teemed with the fantastic food of our local restaurants, showcasing what Montclair can do, with wide-ranging fare like Bluff City BBQ, Villalobos’s mini-tacos and Buffalo Trace Bourbon. “Brass Illusions” brought the swing for over 400 guests, who dance the night away. No one gave up the secret password and a live, silent auction raised money to fund a local playground.
